DERMESTID ALERT!

The #1 Enemy of Trophy Hunters
Dermestid Beetles!
THE ONLY TAXIDERMIST IN TEXAS SPECIALIZING IN THE CLEANING, PROTECTING AND RESTORATION OF DAMAGED MOUNTS!  Taxidermist Since 1978!

Dermestid beetles are common BEETLES that can be found in most any home, espesially if it has animal mounts in it that were not properly tanned OR  Horned animls that the flesh surrounding the  bony core was not cleaned properly. that is Dermestid Food!

Dermestids are commonly referred to as "Skin Beetles" (other names are carpet, Hide, larder & Khapra Beeltles).
They are scavengers that feed on dry animal or plant materials such are skin, animal hair, feathers, dead insects and natural plant fibers. If they find thier way into your home they are very hard to control and get rid of!

See the damage done to mounts FURTHER down below.....

Dermestids find their way to improperly tanned and mounted animals!

*Cheap mount fees equal no money for your taxidermist to tan your trophies hide properly !
So the discount taxidermist use dry presevative & other inferior methods instead of a properly tanned capes.

*A dry preservative mount is nothing more than rawhide.  Many times these capes are fleshed by hand with knives
that don't completely clean all of  the flesh before mounting.  That flesh becomes dermestid food.
These methods are cheap BUT see the results above.  s they say: "You get what you pay for".

If you have a mount in your home, office or hunting cabin it must be inspected regularly for signs of dermestid infestation.
Bob's Trophy Care will come to you, inspect your mounts and if an infestation is found, I will remove the mount/s and kill the dermestids AND Eggs! to STOP the cycle from repeating itself. You will need to call a professional Pesticide company and have your home or trophy room poisoned to completely stop the cycle.

Insects called dermestids can destroy the hide, hair and horns of mounted animals and tanned skins.

Stop the bug damage!

* I can pretreat your mounts to stop this from happening.

* I can stop further bug damage if this is happening to your mounts.

MOUNTS MAY NEED SEVERAL TREATMENTS TO STOP THE BUG DAMAGE!

Insects hide in the crevices, lay eggs  etc. so it may take more than one
treatment to get them all.

DON'T LET ONE INFECTED MOUNT SPREAD TO ALL YOUR TROPHIES!
